Keepers of Time

Time is fluid and infinite.
It is not to be messed with.
Whoever you are, we will not let you disturb Time.

No one knows when the Keepers were first founded, or where. In fact, little is known about the organization at all. It is closely related to the Deity of Time, Shidar, and their priests, but not even all of them knows about the Keepers.

Origin

The Keepers were created by Shidar themself. Three people were chosen as their help to preserve time against those who wished to change it. The priests of Time who knows about the Keepers like to say that these three people were chosen from their ranks, but no one knows if this is true.
Since then, several people have been in the organization. They are always chosen by Shidar, and given special powers to aid them in their mission. While the Keepers exist at all times, new members are usually only recruited when there is something special happening that requires them.

Purpose

Shidar, the Deity of Time, is the main protector of time itself. Every now and then there pop up people or other deities who try and change the course of time, either the past or the future, much to Shidars dismay. While the future change all the time, adapting to what happens in the world, some things do, and should, remain the same. It is when someone wishes to change these important points of the future that Shidar intervenes.
But they realized early on that it was difficult to do this on their own, and thus they created the Keepers. Shidar can bless them with part of their power so that they may work on their behalf.

Troughout history, the Keepers have worked in secret to achieve their goals.
They answer to no one else than Shidar and have managed to avoid any attempts to take them down.

Notable members

The most notable member of the Keepers is prince Namoh, the leader of the Lomian expedition that first discovered Tosormi.

He is still working actively for Shidar, almost 200 years later.
