Brecilian Forest

The Brecilian Forest is a large forest in southeastern Ferelden. It is a favorite hiding place for The Dalish and according to some Dalish legends, was a revered place for the Ancient Elves.
There have been many wars and battles in the Brecilian Forest, many of which were between the elves and mages of the Tevinter Imperium. The existence of elves in the forest stretches back centuries, even before the time of Elvhenan. The death of so many supposedly tore the Veil; the forest's sinister air and possessed flora have led to many (and somewhat true) rumors and stories behind the ancient woods. 
Ancient Ruins lie deep within the forest, and rumor has it, a pack of werewolves once called the ruins home.
