Vasarya's Veil

Reigning largely over the country of Rhoddneff, Vasaraya's veil is a streak of light that paints a gorgeous sight across the night skies of Theatrum. The myth and legend of this veil is almost as timeless as it's image.       In astrology, those born under the sign of Vasarya's Light are said to be beautiful, humble, and honored for their entire lives. They're supposed to be exceptional matches to those born under the constellation of the golden bear and don't match well with anyone born under the sickle, hammer, or serpent constellations.

Geography

The naked eye on the plains of Rhoddneff may look into the sky and see, stretched from North to South, a cluster of small lights known as the Veil. It's stars all linking together in a tight string, from a distinct chain that dims all the lights that have formed around it.   With the invention and utilization of telescopes, it is easier to see the vibrate maroon colors and distortion of light that manifest in the appearance of a light fabric, stretched delicately across the galaxies emptiness. Comprised of 15 stars, the Veil outshines all other single stars in its place in the sky.   Each of the fifteen stars has a name within the constellation. From North to South this is their titles :

History

During the time of the Old Age, lived a young woman named Vasarya. She was so lovely, that every person heard tales of her beauty, and when she came of age, many men were eager to have her hand. As suitor fought suitor, Theatrum stood on the edge of civil war.    One dark evening, Vasarya stole away to the temple of Light. She prayed and offered sacrifices to Sol, begging him to take her beauty away if it meant so much pain and war. She pleaded that she did not want to be the cause of such discourse and only wanted peace for all.    Sol looked upon her and was pleased, for not every mortal was so selfless, so he called upon a favor from the infernal Khabith, and commanded her to bring the mortal woman to his court. Still poisoned with jealousy, Khabith formed a blade, tainted with poison and magic, and bestowed it as a gift to Vasarya, stating it was Sol's will that she join his court. When Vasarya grasped the blade it's spell enchanted her, forcing her to carve out her own face, before plunging the blade into her own heart.    Horrified at the occurrence, Sol created a veil, crafted from silks and stars to cover Vasarya's beautiful face. He made her an immortal goddess of beauty as well as queen to his court where they currently rule, side by side. A fragment of her scarf is said to have been left in the sky, to show travelers their way north during their journeys.

Tourism

Many residents of Rhoddneff will travel to Estermery in order to behold the sight of The Veil during the holidays that honor Vasarya and her legends. When Vasarya's Veil is at it's brightest, it is said that she is shinning with all the love that Sol has given her.
