Rift Sickness
The Reason Anomalies Are Usually Unhappy
Rift Sickness is a noncontagious, previously mysterious disease that affected about half of the Rift anomalies that came through to the Scrapbook. However now, we know what causes the Rift Sickness and how to cure it to better help our fellow entities.
Causes
The cause of the Rift Sickness is when an entity, usually an anomaly, gets pulled from the Rift and is allowed to stay in the Scrapbook. However, the Rift and the Scrapbook are obviously different, so an entity raised to survive in one cannot usually do well in the other.
Symptoms
Fever, coughing, headaches, and minor auditory hallucinations are common symptoms of these disease. The inability to stand up and the numbness of limbs can also be symptoms, though these are more uncommon.
Treatment
Fever medicine and a quick ingestment of soil and plants from the world the Rift entity is planning to stay on. To make such task of collecting soil and flora easier, a pill called GreenSand has been developed. There is one for each world, and if the Rift entity wishes to travel, they'll have to consume the pill for the world they wish to go to.
Prognosis
If Rift Sickness is left for a week, the Rift entity "dies." By "dying," we mean that the entity gets locked away in the Rift forever, never to be seen again.
Sequela
The only complication is, if left for too long, being trapped in the Rift and never being able to access Scrapbook again.
...Unless, perhaps, the Rift collapses and ceases to exist. However, we cannot confirm if that will work.

Affected Groups
Rift anomalies
Hosts & Carriers
Bacteria in the air of the Scrapbook.
History
The first case happened to a poor Rift entity named Clairnent in 2835 First Eclipse Era. Unfortunately, Clairnent was deemed as a safe anomaly and was pulled through, only to suffer fevers, head-splitting aches, being unable to stand up, and they reported hearing voices. After a week, Clairnent faded back into the Rift, and it is believed that the pain they had from coming to Scrapbook ceased to be, but no one was able to find Clairnent in the Rift again.
Cultural Reception
Rift anomalies are treated as equals, but those that survive the Rift Sickness are often respected more.
