Dragon's breath

Dragon's Breath is a powerful magical drug that is grown on trees in the land of Geldarc. The Drug plays a prominent role in the circle rites performed each spring at the Great Circle of Geldarc.

Dragon's Breath is a drug that is primarily consumed by drinking a tea made with the herb. Effects set in after approximately one hour.

Symptoms

An hour after taking the drug, users are known to enter an illusory state of existence. Creatures that can wildshape automatically do so (though they may pick there form), to a maximum level 2 levels higher than would normally be possible for them. The creatures also see illusions of the Three Dragons, with the illusions becoming more powerful the more people in their vicinity are who have take the drug.

Treatment

Standard spells that end magical effects are able to end the effects of Dragons Breath. Otherwise, the symptoms eventually wear off, though this takes time in instances where lots of creatures are collectively tripping.

Cultural Reception

While there are a few travelers who will recreationally drink Dragon's Breath Tea, the drinking of the drug is mostly a cultural practice of the Temple of Three Dragons. The collective trip at the great circle of Geldarc is one of the more important parts of the spring rites at the circle, and is said to continue for a period of 5 days. Members of the Temple of the Three Dragons will sometimes consume the drug in solitude if they need to contact the dragons for advice or worship alone.
Given that Dragon's Breath is so strongly associated with the Temple of the Three Dragons, groups that look down upon the religion take special pleasure in harassing those who are tripping on the drug. The Council of Maji in Korth has even gone as far as to ban the use of Dragon's Breath, as they see the drug as used by fanatical terrorists.
