Free Aphelia Broadcast

The Free Aphelia Broadcast is the colloquial name for the radio message produced by Abram Grigori-Seth on 13 of the Reign of the Veil, 476 PN. The message was broadcast to be heard all throughout Aphelia. While its primary function was to covertly organize what would become the first push of the Aphelian Counteroffensive against the Faceless Offensive, the broadcast is hailed as a message of inspiration and resistance during such a brutal time.

Purpose

The broadcast contains the coded time and place of the Counteroffensive's beginning. "Where the light meets the water" is a reference to Aurora Springs, based on the two components of its name, while "when the sky sings our song" refers to the arrival of the Banshees to coastal Aphelia, as the Aphelian resistance was counting on their presence to throw the Faceless into chaos.

Document Structure

References

"You will find me where the sun meets the sea" is a line from "Find Me", an Iperal folk song that predates the Nightfall, hence the reference to the Age of Light celestial body known as the sun. It's believed that Grigori used the line to parallel "where the light meets the water" and throw off any listening Faceless who may have been aware enough to interpret the message; however, Grigori may have also been asking for help from the Iperal, as the broadcast reached the Peral Basin. (While the Iperal would ally with Aphelia, they would only do so two reigns into the Counteroffensive.)
