Dueling Wyrms

The Dueling Wyrms was the first of the new constellations formed during the Godswar. When you trace the stars in this heavenly body, an image of two great dragons appear, intertwined in combat, wings outstretched. One of the great wyrms represents Tiamat which has five heads, each of its eyes a different color, those stars blaze Red, Blue, Green, White, and a dark Grey star. The other great wyrm is comprised of all bright silver stars, representing Bahamut.

History

The battle between Tiamat and Bahamut was the very first in the Godswar. The two behemoths danced through the skies above Ashtora, calling upon their children to aid them in battle. Dragons from across (word name) flocked to Ashtora to do battle with their gods, though a group of Metallic dragons remained on Ashtora at the command of Bahamut to protect the continent and the Dragonborn that called that land their home.   The sky battle raged for nearly a week, as various parts of Ashtora's landspace was altered by the battle. Mountains were destroyed, craters were made, forests burned to the ground. In the end, Bahamut knew the only way Tiamat would let her guard down, is if she thought she had won. So in sacrificing himself to her deathblow, he was able to return the favor in her moment of triumph.   It is said that Dragons once used to be the most intelligent of all the species on (world name) with magic that rivaled the greatest Archmage, but with the death of their gods, the Dragons no longer receive these blessings. Today, Dragons still retain the ability to fly and use their breath weapons, but their intelligence has been reduced to that of an animal and they no longer have a connection to magic.
The Godwars irreparably altered the night sky. Each battle fought between the gods was immortalized in the stars, causing new constellations to form with the death of each god.
