Lake Lascina (Lake Lah Cheenuh)

Lake Lascina is home to Damañora Estango, meaning Lady of the Lake. It's very marshy and out of place compared to the surrounding land. It's also said to be a cursed and unlucky place, because of that it was debated whether to level the area and restore it to it's old form, from before the war between the mythological and "normal."
During the war and before its concuring, it was the palace for the Queen of Lon, the name of Domas before the reassingment of country borders

Geography

The valley and drainage center for a ring of mountains. It connects to one of the streams that stem from River Averdio

Ecosystem

The water is more acidic from the runoff of the mountains making most if not all vegetation around it baren and dead, but Vetiver Grass grows on the banks, with large Zandra fish living in the lake itself

Localized Phenomena

Before the war, it was the palace gardens of Lon. The lake sustained all the flora and fauna and proved capable of even curing disease and reversing aging. It brought out the finest physical attributes based on the self view the "sanetur" or person being changed had. On very rare occasions things like blindness and paralysis could be changed if the sanetur wanted to. When it rains, it's always acidic water, like in poluted cities. Or you can make it real acid if you'd like. When it's not mating season, the cheeks will glow a soft light to attract prey

Fauna & Flora

In this dead marsh, only two plants will grow, Vetiver Grass and the ocasional azaelea patch. Enlarged "Scaleless blackfish" live in the water among salty lake weed. Aside from all that, theres only the remains of ancient trees

Natural Resources

If you can catch them, you can sell blackfish. They are more popular outside the countries as locals view them as cursed. Within the house on the lake are two chickens and a goat that produce one egg and one liter of goat milk a day

History

In the Ligatum age, it was the palace gardens in the capital of Lon. At that time, it boasted the most lush and diverse plants, animals, and even weather phenomena. As the war progressed, it and the country it resided in became the epicenter for growing and distributing provisions. The mountains around the lake itself are a result of an invasion on the capital and the defensive manuvers taken as the queen and troops were forced further and further back. Eventually they were forced to retreat through the waters of the life sustaining lake. With the Queen being last to leave, she cursed the water and everything that it had produced. From plants, to animals, and even a few people. She forced the portal in the lake closed to ensure her people were safe.

Tourism

Its very popular to people who are superstitious and believe in the supernatural. It is said to be home to the Lady of the Lake. People assisted by a guide or child are more likely to make it accross to her home on the dissappearing island.
