Letter from Shtiya gifting Kornarak

Friend,   I hope you are well. The world seems well, and for that we are all grateful. Your assistance was invaluable, even if you feel like it was not. While I knew what my duty was, and you yours, you rose to the calamity admirably. I am sending you back your charm. I am not comfortable keeping something that does not belong to me.   I reckon this letter is actually the second item you are admiring, and the charm will be the third. I have sent you a sizable gift as seems only right. And yes, I am gifting the others as well. Don't feel like you aren't worthy of it.   His name is Kornarak. A dragon is not a pet, but he will be loyal and brave. Believe me if you wish, or do not. It's hard to tell which people will do, and how flexible Fate is. Please mind the lightening. Oh, and the teeth.

Historical Details

Background

The exact context of the letter is not known, as the author did not sign the letter. However, the letter dates to roughly 850. This puts it in the correct time frame to be related to Shtiya Sos and his Meteor Catch. The contents of the message seem to confirm that the letter is from Shtiya. There are no other calamities during that period that it could be referring to. The only other possibility would be that the entire contents of the message are a lie. Most historians do not support this interpretation.   The contents additionally speak of Kornarak, the dragon ruler of Kornarak. This would suggest that King Abidemi Kone was the intended recipient of the letter. However, the king is not known to be related to the Meteor Crisis. Therefore, it is not clear if the dragon was stolen from its intended recipient, or if the king was actually involved with the Meteor.
