Kingdom of Kin

Dancers, feathered in emerald and ruby, spun across the streets, pulling attention towards them. The noises that resounded between the stone-cut buildings were ever-present, falling in the background as white noise. As was the city, exotic and rich smells filled the air, spun around by flavorful foods. This was Be-Zed; the largest city in the world.   The Kingdom of Kin is the most exotic country, standing out even against the anti-social A'Hishian United Kingdoms. They came from the Pondal Theocracy, rising towards the middle era of the Third Era, coming from the line of the Third Spirit directly.   A house-based system, all of the leaders of the houses coming directly from the line of the Third Spirit. Because of this, the Kingdom of Kin is one of the most closely connected to higher powers, though the history of the line is kept hidden, not often remembered by anyone but the historians of the kingdom.

Structure

The Kingdom of Kin has a multi-layered government system. It is based on the idea that different families are considered their own groups, each assigned a different occupation. The overall government is made up of a House Head for each of the 6 under houses and a trifecta of kings from the House of the Winter Swan.
Ordered by significance
The House of the Red Herron doesn't follow this pattern, as they are significant but not in the political structure of the Kingdom of Kin
House of the Winter Swan
House of the Winter Swan, born from the first son of the Third Spirit, is in charge of all political actions.

House of the Silver Boar
The House of the Silver Boar is in charge of legislation and the upholding of the law, having a connection to the King in the House of the Winter Swan for laws and owning the policeforce of the kingdom. This makes the House of the Silver Boar the second most important in the Kingdom.

House of the Black Demon
Considered the second most dangerous house, coming from the youngest -- a son -- child of the Third Spirit, is the house that works with armies, training, and dispatching under the command of the House of the Winter Swan. They are the third most significant of the houses.

House of the Violet Lion
The House of the Violet Lion is mainly working to deal with judicial ongoings, offering their skills to the rest of the houses.

House of the Diamond Elephant
The House of the Diamond Elephant deals with currency, overwatching the dealings of monetary trade.

House of the Gold Horse
The House of the Gold Horse is one of the most important houses, controlling all forms of trade. This involves all sea travel -- having the largest port city in Kin -- and over-land travel.

House of the Emerald Serpent
The House of the Emerald Serpent is in charge of collection and production of materials for trade. While important to the Kingdom, the House of the Emerald Serpent is considered the least important due to the greater significance of the others houses rather than being considered insignificant.

House of the Red Herron
Though not an official house, the House of the Red Herron is the most dangerous house and second most dangerous organization in the world(less dangerous that the Sorcerer's Federation of Sel), acting as assassins for hire.

House of the Winter Swan

The House of the Winter Swan is the most powerful of the houses, centered around Be-Zed. The house's trifecta is broken down into several parts, each with unique responsibilities:
King
The ruler of the whole kingdom

House Head
Dealer of the ongoings within the house

Expeditioner
The one who deals with political affairs out of the kingdom

Religion

The people of the Kingdom of Kin are one of the most diverse in the subject matter of religion. While most of the House of the Winter Swan follows the Gorodian Faith, other religions like Spirits of the Wind, Storms and Mountains, Call of the Sea, and Work of Abarithian all are practiced within the borders.   Explore Religions:

Politics and Land

Foreign Relations

The Kingdom of Kin is politically active, as both a trade superpower and known for its powerful army. They are considered allies of the Kingdom of Itania -- friendly towards the A'Hishian United Kingdoms subsequently -- while holding a strong suspicion of the Sloz'ian Empire with cautious allies towards both the Republic of Tseawo and the Maraian Triumvirate.

Trade

The House of the Gold Horse is in charge of all trade involving the Kingdom of Kin throughout all of the Western Continent and across many of the other islands and continents through sea trade. The House Head of the House of the Gold Horse is one of the most politically powerful house members -- allowing the House of the Gold Horse to be the third most powerful accepted house in Kin.
I hope to, during my time as your House Head, expand our trade across the globe.
Lorrain Gamak
The Kingdom of Kin has several unique locations within the borders, including rare animals in their sparse grasslands as well as a variety of unique tree species in the rainforests and regular forests. As well, they have a shared pact with the Republic of Tseawo to use materials from the Gorodian Mountain Range for trade. However, they have several unique skill sets that allow them to trade using services as well as specialized goods.   They are lacking in other materials at the same time, including materials like stronger stones from the Kingdom of Itania. They also are known for importing special materials that are mass-produced in other countries including cloth and clay.

Thanks so much! This type of article is my favorite, especially as two of my articles so far have been countries and they're just wonderful to explore as the author. Glad to hear that it is just as fun to explore as a reader.
