Bound

A condition where spirit magic is tampered with by dark spirit. Tainting the individual's own spirit magic to do something taboo, like tethering to another's untainted spirit magic which then creates a link or an invisible chain to that one; making him or her into a puppet, or as some have described, doll-like appearance.

Transmission & Vectors

By tampering with one's own natural born spirit magic and turning it into something more sinister. This can be done by thought, simply wishing something upon another that wouldn't bode well for them. However, by doing this there becomes a stain upon their heart and if not appropriately taken care of, this can cause an even larger issue. The natural spirit magic becomes dark and creates a thread or tether of chains, depending on the severity, and links to that person.

Causes

Meaning from the heart is everything. They have to know what they are doing when they have a thought and the more continous, the more dark spirit magic and the link becomes. This causes their heart to become as black as night, if they so allow or choose.

Symptoms

The eyes of the affected will become withdrawn or glazed over, as if drunk. Then the normal speech becomes slow to none, as if not able to comprehend or stay in a single thought of their own volition. It's almost as if they become like a zombie. Then their speech can change from mumbling to making weird sounds while they are ordered to do something.

Treatment

The treatment is difficult, but not impossible. Either the caster must be found and break their concentration, or a trigger object, phrase, or something the victim holds dear can break the link and bring them back to the present.

Prognosis

Can be fatal, however that depends on the predetor's will.

Those who do not keep their spirit magic pure and an untainted heart.

Prevention

The only way to be protected in full from this condition is by having pure spirit magic, which is why infants and most children are naturally immune.
