The Historian's Recollection

Purpose

When the God's initially sent down their Paradigem, they chose Atlas to be their champion. Centuries later, after so much had happened, the Gods gave Atlas one final gift. Atlas' memory was ascended to a divine state, he could not forget anything, even upon dying. Upon his death, his memory found a new host, and the Gods informed Amara that this was to be the Cycle of the Historian. A man who has the memories of every single generation, who will record history in a purely objective view. The memories found their way to those who met a series of unknown criteria. The Historian is always thirty years of age at least, and they are always gifted in magic.   The Historian's Recollection is a full collection of books. Each one written throughout the life of each Historian.

Document Structure

Clauses

Each book in the series is divided into sections refered to as "Ages", which are periods marked by a pivotal moment in which things changed. For instance, The first Historian spent many days writing out the long life of Atlas. The First Age of the First book was of Atlas' childhood, it is marked by its ending, when Atlas' Father died. The Second Age describes him well into Adulthood, until he met the love of his life Lecta. The Third Age describes him as a Soldier and a man of honor, whilst courting his soon to be wife. It ended when the Gods arrived. The Fourth Age involves him establishing the new order of the world, and the Fifth Age ended with the Fall of the Dead King. The Sixth Age ended when Atlas' wife and children were murdered, and the seventh Age ended when the Darkness arrived. The Eight Age ended as the Black Year drew to a close, and the Ninth Age ended when Cucumber Palpa was murdered. The Tenth Age ended when Nala was born, and the eleventh Age ended when Atlas died.   Each moment represented a crucial turning point, or a time of change that resulted in consequences for the world as a whole. Each book in the Series is written in this way.

Publication Status

Many volumes of the Historian's Recollection are publicly available, and many of them were damaged or lost in various disasters. The Historians across generations have dedicated many years to repairing the lost archives, but as time moves forward the world events that must be chronicled do not wait. As such there is consistently a Gap in history that the Historians have struggled to keep from widening.

Historical Details

History

During the life of the seventeenth Historian, the Rulers of Feyn and Ventra , who's names have been expunged from history due to consistent generational agreement between each Historian, moved on Vordus. However, their attacks were thwarted due to the existence of detailed historical accounts of Atlas' campaign against the Dark. Using ancient strategies, they were stopped, and made an attempt to erase history to prevent such a thing from happening again. After such a massive loss of history, the Historians began hiding records in deep, far off locations. To ensure that if the cycle of Historians were ever broken, these documents would survive. During the events of the Black Rapture, the cycle was halted, and these records were never recovered.
