The Treaty of Cangalho

The Treaty of Cangalho is the oldest recorded diplomatic treaty. According to the text written on the very large stone, it's from the First Age, and details the treaty between the Humans, elves, dwarves and orcs. Upon the victory of The High Triumvirate against the three others, they met at the Cangalho forest. Chenodius , King of the Elves, High Chieftain Raum of the Orcs, Thuror II, King of the Dwarves and the three Human leaders of the Triumvirate, High King Leonard , Emperor Marcianus , and King Bjorn met to discuss the future of Thiva. It was decided that Bjorn, Leonard and Marcianus would split the continent in three. Marcianus ended up ruling the part known as Hucrithia, the part in which Cangalho exists.     The Dwarves were allowed to rule some land of their own, and the orcs were given wasteland. They would not rule the land they were allowed to keep, for more than a few centuries. The elves were not allowed to own any land, as they had oppressed and enslaved the humans for centuries. The elves would lose every right they had as citizens in the new world. Many would flee into the woods and live their lives their, while others would marry into human families. Marcianus rewarded every elf that married and reproduced with humans, with their old rights. This was done in an attempt to wipe out the elven race. Elfs can live for several thousand years, but if they marry to other races, they lose this power.      The treaty was signed after the War for Thiva, in which the humans finally regained power after generations as slaves. With the treaty, the first age came to a conclusion.
Text on the Cangalho Stone
"Marcianus, Leonard and Bjorn hereby split Thiva between us. The Triumvirate that destroyed the Elves, Orcs and Dwarves, and freed the superior Human race, for as long as this world stands. These runes tell of the War of Thiva, and the liberation of the world."   The text is followed by the signatures of the 6 monarchs.
