The Introduction of The Basic Ink Pen- By Mika Tsuki

Note: Laszlo Biro is a real Hungarian Inventor of the ballpoint pen. Lysandus in cannon has access to our world through dreams and those who live on both worlds visit Lysandus while sleeping. Whether this inventor was a dream traveler one may never know but the ball point pen changed our world and how we write.

Introduction

The history of writing in Lysandus begins much the way it did on Gaia with the first works of art created by sentient peoples. Writing devices were invented over time. Dragons would use their claws to carve runes into the very rock walls of their caves. Others used sharpened tools or natural paints to create messages. While these were all great for communication they did not allow for libraries of knowledge to exist. No one knows who was the one to first invent a paper the way those on Gaia now have or who first used burnt charcoal to write with. As soon as paper was developed on Lysandus not long after such charcoal pens were created. Just before the unification age or the Reign of Aldra the feathered fountain pen was all the rage. The introduction to todays mass produced Basic Pen is much more modern. It was invented by a Gaian living in Islana named Laszlo Biro.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

Inside a metal tube and ink reserve is contained. In the tip of the tube a metal ball is fitted that delivers the ink to the page allowing the ink to flow without drying out.

Significance

Changed how we write today. Prior one would dip a feather from their own wings or one they acquired in ink to write. These inks were wet and smudged easily. This new fast drying non smudging pen made letter writing a more efficient process.
