Primeval Order

The forces of nature are immense, and especially so when the powers of the elemental planes are considered. The Primeval Order make it their sole purpose to understand how these forces are intertwined. This focus can make them truly powerful and attempts to combat them have nearly always been fruitless. Luckily, staying away from politics is part of their dogma.
Monks here usually follow the Way of the Four Elements, mystics the Order of Wu Jen, and there are some druids of The Land, as well as Evocation Wizards. Of course, others might also come to seek understanding of the most basic forces of the world.
The order is spread over large parts of the material plane, mostly in remote areas where the elements are the most prominent. They also have outposts on all the principal elemental planes.

Structure

Every monastery has its own grandmaster who is a specialist at the element or elements that is the focus of that location. Various masters are in charge of leading acolytes and initiates to understand different parts of what the order teaches. Each grandmaster is theoretically equally represented in the order at large.
