Mater Machine, named after the latin for mother, is the official title given to Lieben upon her assumption to the Chernobyl Throne (Emptiness at the Centre) in 2105. When she first sat upon the throne, the Amethyst Crown atop her head, Lieben took control of all technology on planet Earth with enough sophistication to be connected to a network. Smart appliances through drones and NEO-N's, artificial intelligences flocked to her banner and named her Mater. Mother of Machine and Mother of Humanity's Future. Mother knows best. Fills me with a strange dread, if I'm honest. The idea of a machine being more capable of deciding my fate than I am. Billions love the Mater Machine. Worship her like the pacifist monarch they all wanted, one who opens her coffers and gives and gives and gives. There's got to be more to her, I can't be wrong. There has got to be a nefarious angle to Lieben. How can I be wrong?
