Oblivion's Seat

Ezra had always been interested in the mythos and superstitions of any sort of civilization. It kept things spicy throughout the ages. It’s why most people would mislabel them as a vampire, though it did not quite fit what Ezra was. (If you know Ezra interacted with the general populace when living on Earth.)

Learning about such legends in the Wexmadios Galaxy, let alone Talconos, is no exception to their curiosity.

One of which was Oblivion’s Seat.

To the south of what would become current day Talconos, there is a crater called Oblivion’s Seat. The denizens agreed it wasn’t a naturally occurring. Its seven spires jutted out of the landscape, shaping the crater like a giant’s throne.

There are several legends about who it came to be. A meteor crashing into the planet in such a way to create the formation (which most scholars say is highly improbable). The creators of the galaxy pinned a malicious celestial to the planet and chained them to the throne as punishment for crimes against mortal beings.

The Talconos residents believe that those who ventured to Oblivion’s Seat will find themselves unable to make their way back to Talconos. The travelers would become lost and be found as worn-out husks at the base of the crater. Every explanation from air quality to ill-prepared travelers have been postulated. None, however, explain all the disappearances.

Such occurrences extend all the way back to the time when Talconos was a humble outpost, being used as a waypoint of transporting goods from the outer planets of the Venizi system to the rest of the galaxy.

Ezra visited to the Oblivion’s Seat and honestly didn’t see what the deal was. Other than the frigid air and nitrogenous snow, there was only the feeling of loneliness and desolation lingered.

Maybe those unfortunate souls were not lost but were taken in by a presumably malicious deity for companionship.
