Compyutah

A Compyutah is a machine from the Old World. It seems to have been used to carry out sets of instructions given to it by people trained to use them.   Compyutah's can store information, such as documents and recordings, which, should someone find a working compyutah, can be read or watched. Sometimes this comes in the form of mindless entertainment, one was recovered with thousands of audio recordings of people singing over various exotic instruments and recordings of what appears to have been some sort recorded play.   With the correct manipulation of the Compyutah, more data can be added to it, or even removed. This has rarely been done, at least, on purpose, as it's hard to even work out how to access the information, let alone add to it or remove from it. It has, however, been discovered that pressing the left arrow button whilst there's a blinking line among a block of text will delete it.   Compyutah's seem to be made of Meytle

Utility

Learn of knowledge from before the war. Learn of life from before the war. Learn about entertainment from before the war.

Manufacturing

It is unknown how to make a compyutah, however it is thought that it may include bending meytles to form a box, and filling it with more meytles.
Access & Availability
Not very widely available, or accessible. A close kept secret of those who know of their existence.
Complexity
Very complex, it is unknown how they work, how they're made, or how to power them for an unlimited period of time.
Discovery
Compyutahs are found within ghost ships, sometimes embedded into the ship, sometimes near skeletons of the dead crew, and sometimes as standalone objects. It was also discovered that they need to be struck with lighning, or, rather, connected to something that's struck with lightning, in order to work, until they run out of power and require more lightning.
