Asara Sword
"It was slicing into your flesh and coming out of nowhere. You only saw the hilt and the person holding it. Where the blade itself was.... there was a single glint of light against the blade before it struck.Originating in the Silver Sands, the Asara sword is a shortsword with a thin blade made of Silver Glass. It was allegedly razor sharp while the blade was also near invisible, making it a difficult weapon to parry or dodge. The name "Asara" comes from the word for glass, "ara", in Ancient Silver-Speak. The full name "Asara" originated as "As Ara" meaning, "Of Glass", and the seperate words were merged to form "Asara" in modern Silver-Speak.
Significance
The weapon's Silver Glass blade made its edge very sharp and it was thin enough to nearby be invisible to the eye. It marked a new era in the art of Silverglazing, beyond just pretty trinkets and ornaments: the fusion of Silver Glass and Steel to form weapons and armor.
When the Asara Sword was stolen from its creator and wielded in battle, the Arborlich quickly saw their soldiers fall against this blade. Once the blade fell into the hands of the newly-formed Folatia Empire, the Arborlich quickly begun developing the evasive fighting style that they became known for.
