Annual Situation Reports

"Writing a sitrep can be anywhere from fun to hand cramp inducing. It depends on what you have a knack for though. If you are writing reports on behalf of the geological commission, it may be fun since most people there are interested in geology but gods help you if you have to write a report about censuses."   An Imperial administrator posted to theKingdom of Sanguinia, speaking about writing annual situation reports
Annual Situation reports, also known as Royal Reports are documents that are submitted by the constituent states of The Sanguine Imperium to the central government of the Imperium. These reports include statements on various topics including economy, agriculture politics, military situations, government initiatives and many other miscellaneous topics that the constituent state can send to the central government   The purpose of these documents is to gain information about various subjects as well as fostering relations between state governments and the centre. It also allows them to plan out for the next year. The documents are written usually by a team selected by the ruler of the state, and usually include the seniormost official of the Imperial Administrative Cadre at its head. These documents are known for being flexible and a state government can put in lots of miscellaneous information if they believe they can"t fit any of the standardized catagories   Writing a situation report is a long and often hard task. The writers have to process large amounts of information, in which there could be mistakes and even slight mistakes could adversely affect the Imperium. Thus, the state government has to ensure that when it collects information about various topics, it is cross checked and identified so that the information is clear.   The history of these reports go back to the reign of Emperor Johan Christiansen. After the deadly Bloodmoon Rebellion, he wanted to make sure that the Imperium fostered closer relations and understood the problems of minorities and the constituent states. After setting up a dedicated commission, the practice of publishing annual situation reports began and over time, through many gradual changes and reforms evolved into the documents they are today. Copies of annual situation reports are widely availiable and every citizen of the Imperium can access them for free, though the state government issuing the document has the right to classify some topics it considers sensitive information
