The King's Keep
The King's Keep is a a large walled off plot of land at the most northern part of the capital city of Derresi. It contains the King's castle, a royal temple,stables, servants quarters, and the King's Guard barracks. Almost 400 people live or work inside the keep. Current family in the keep are King Aris , his son Prince Rasmus and the late Queens brother, Prince Lysias
4 thefts of Royal property in the past month, all reportedly done with the use of magical abilities. Theocritus is ordering for more Loyalists to be trained. All servants who are registered were dropped out of the main castle over a year ago but now anyone with a registered magic user in their immediate family is getting replaced. I try to make sure they get good placement elsewhere but I can only do so much. I see Theocritus and Prince Lysias whispering in each of the King's ears. King Aris is nothing more than a puppet, if the Queen could see him now she would be disappointed. I've worked here 20 years working my way up to head of staff. The Royal Temple is fuller than ever wealthy nobles filling the space as Theocritus continues to preach about bringing the gods back. I don't know what Lysias is planning but he's been acting strange. I spotted him last week passing a letter off into some nobles hand. I have always had a bad feeling about him, never could put my finger on why. I hope I'm wrong.
