The Immortal's Relics

Legend says that the seven Immortal beings, created by the great world builder god, each possessed a relic that held their power.

Summary

Each Immortal Being lived in a tower that holds their relics.  The Relics power the Towers.

The importance of each Immortal Being varies based on the region.

Cultural Reception

  • Fire Tower - Lies within the Ling region, though hidden, and drives their fiery fighting spirit.
  • Earth Tower - Lies within the Human/Orc region, though hidden, and it gives the Orcs their sturdiness and the Humans their hardheaded drive.
  • Water Tower - Lies within the Dwarf region, though hidden, and resides within a great underwater sea that the dwarven capital resides near; and gives the dwarves their love and passion for sea fairing.
  • Air Tower - Lies within the Gnome region, and is kept secret, residing within a hidden floating island above the highest mountain; and grants the gnomes the knowledge of steam technology.
  • Life Tower - Lies within the Elf region, and is kept secret, giving the Elves their long lives and love of nature.
  • Death Tower - Lies within the Ogre region, is kept secret by the Magre, and grants the Ogres the strength and furiosity to slaughter anything that they encounter; it gives the Magre the magical affinity and cruel intelligence to rain death upon nations.
  • Void Tower - Lies within the Shadow region, is kept hidden, and mulated and altered the Elves and other creatures in the region while blocking out the sun; and grants these species power over shadows and illusions.
  • Time Tower - Lies upon the third moon of the world, is kept removed from the world, and grants immortality to the Dragons and Drachronos; that had been banished from the world by the Immortal Beings.

In Literature

Shared primarily by Bards and Scholars to the people.  Many history books refer to the relics, but only as probably myths.
