New Treatment for Fury Contagion

A Shifter Medic from Owhua named Masaru Joyaki recently has found a new treatment for the Fury Contagion. Masaru Joyaki accompanied a small group of other medics and magiolgists to the hard to reach Slymark Island for medical and research. While on the island Masaru found and collected many parts of a common plant found all over the island as it had medical properties that had yet to be explored. Sly Colorata, which is a tiny plant, that blooms in late spring. It has thick rosette leaves that are bright green, and a waxy feel. Small flowers that range from a dark deep blue, to a deep purple or deep red color. The flowers have a strong sweet smell and produce a small berry that small animals eat. The plant relies on the wind and small animals to spread its seed.   When Masaru returned home he first experimented to see if he could grow it and was surprised that he could. Next he started to check what each part of the plant could be used. He quickly found that the flowers and leaves infused into a tea greatly reduced the sever symptoms of his ailing grandfather who suffers form Fury Contagion. At first he noticed that his grandfather’s ingrown hairs stopped and the sores healed. Masaru’s grandfather also told him that he wasn’t getting any new sores. Another shifter came to Masaru for help when they noticed the early signs of the Fury Contagion. Masaru suggested this new experimental treatment and they took it. As they took the tea that Masaru gave them the illness disappeared. Masaru was shocked and has kept an eye on them. That shifter has yet to develop the full Fury Contagion, still 10 years out.   Masaru has continued to experiment with the Sly Colorata and has found that if treatment is started shortly after symptoms start they are less likely to develop Fury Contagion, however this must be done with in the first two years or it just drastically slows down the illness and leave it more manageable than with other previous known medicines.   Masaru is continuing to experiment and see if this can lead to a cure of the Fury Contagion, but he is also doing all he can to spread the news of his discovery.
