Tribal Axe of the Berserker

Believed to be lost in the Desert of the First Barbarian, the Tribal Axe of the Berserker is an ancient artifact traced back to the time in history before most of the world as it is know was established. This axe has been depicted as being wielder several times in history but it seems after each death of the wielder the axe has gone missing, this has led to a sporadic mentioning of the artifact. At this moment in time it is unknown where the axe rests or in whose possession it may be.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

This is a cursed magical item. When a person first attunes to this item they enter a period of high suggestion and will imprint on the first friendly creature that they see. It is worth noting that who the wielder imprints on is based entirely on their own perception, they will not imprint on someone they perceive as an enemy such as some one actively attacking them, but they may imprint on someone who has been kind to them that intends on betraying them. Additionally it depends on the wielders perception of a friendly creature, People of neutral standing to the wielder will not be imprinted on. Once the wielder has imprinted on someone they will refuse to part with that person or the axe for a prolonged period of time. If the person they imprinted on takes damage the wielder has a chance to enter a berserker rage targeting anything within 60 feet of their imprinted person. The rage only ends when the person is deemed "safe" when there is nothing living within 60 feet. The wielder will also be more prone to agree with imprinted person.

Significance

This axe belonged to the chief of a small nomadic tribe in the early settlement of farming lands. The entire tribe was wiped out during an incident. This is the axe used by the first barbarian during her bloody rampage.
Rarity
