The First Brother, Most Wise, Styr the Wise Jurgen Tyrson

Brother Styr

Founder of the Order of the Frozen Wisdom.
In the beginning, the gods descended from their cosmic realm, riding aboard a falling star. They landed in the frozen fjordlands in the northern shores of Skandia. There, they added their essence to the ice, and the first humans were born in their likeness. The gods gave them the divine rules, and told them that the lands they walk, were created for their people, and they would be protected.
500 years ago the Warlord Milo of clan Valsgard lost war against the Skandi king. Milo's people took to their ships and left Skandia looking for lands to call their own. Across the Storm Sea they landed and began to set up a new life. They entered into war against the indigenous peoples and after a few years, they were sucessful. Milo declared himself the Emperor of this new land that he named Valsgard.
This was the great mistake of their people. They broke the gods rules and left the land that was given to them. They were a cursed people.
50 years ago, Brother Styr, who was then known as Jurgen, underwent the ritual of the Kobocha Ink. The shaman told him he would unlock the mysteries of the world. Jurgen was known to be ambitious, and when the shaman uncorked the vial to administer the dose, Jurgen grabbed the vial and swallowed all of its contents. The shaman became enraged and afraid of what would happen next. Jurgen was tied to a small cot in the shamans hut, and for the next 2 days Jurgen had intense visions. He was so far removed from his body, that he experienced a loss of self.
A loss of self, happens after too large a dose of the Kobocha Ink, and the experiencer's soul leaves their body to enter the realm of the gods. Most of the time, the soul never returns, and the body remains in the land of the living, but there is nothing inside. However, if the soul returns to the body, they come back changed. Never to be the same.
Jurgen came back from the realm of the gods with a new name, from that point he was Brother Styr. While he was in the realm of the gods, he learned many truths that mankind may not be ready to know. They have offended the gods in a number of ways, and the dangers of the lands of their new empire is directly related to these offences. The greatest offence was leaving the lands of Skandia.
They would have to return to the promised lands of Skandia if they wished to re-enter the protection of the gods and enjoy peace and prosperity. Brother Styr was given this knowledge by the gods in order to give them a chance to change and save themselves. His mission was to spread the truth to the peoples of lands.
