The Samawi star

This star, the Samawi Star, shines the brightest in the night sky. Many explorers keep their way by it. It points to the West.   Mages have been attempting to discover more about it, and there is the eventual aim to travel there. Unfortunately, as of yet, their attempts have been fruitless.   There is a legend about it that tells of the Goddess of Luck, Evangeline who put it there. It says that she lost her way once, and whilst she was lost, her nemesis and opposite, Leah the Ill Fortunate, wrecked havoc amongst the world. When Evangeline found her way back, she fought against Leah and won. Then she placed the Samawi Star in the western hemisphere, so that all could find their way by it, and so she would never be lost again.   It is also called the Star of Luck, or Evangeline's Star, after her and that story.

Geography

It is exactly on the Western side of Altheia, meaning many people navigate by it.   It is next to the constellation Ahlqatuu, or Pouncing Cat, (It looks like a pouncing cat) and above Yanhanyi, or Bow.   It is quite small, meaning that is quite far away.

Fauna & Flora

Unknown as of yet.

Natural Resources

Unknown as of yet, presumably various rocks and minerals.

History

It was discovered in the year 27 AWC, by an unknown person.   Legend says it was placed in the sky by the Goddess of Luck, Evangeline, estimated to be in the year 2 AWC by mages and historians.

Tourism

Definitely none.   The worshippers of Evangeline, also known as Luck's Children, gaze at it in the sky in some of their rituals. They also are firm sponsors to the University of Magical Learning's efforts to reach the star.
