The Prophetess and the Last Prophesy

In 2055 a group of mercenaries found an old tomb believed to be from before the fall of the Grand Kingdom of Arthuris. In that tomb was an ancient tome that was given to the University of Arthuris to translate and to determine the authenticity of such a text. After some initial study of the text, they found that the text was a series of entries from an individual labelled as the Prophetess. The text was called the Prophetess Records and it details many events that have happened and could have happened throughout history.   Due to the difficulty and unpredictability of prophesy, much of the Records have been disputed by the University and is instead referenced as only several guesses by an individual calling themself as a Prophetess. Some argue that this is just a fiction by those living in the past attempting to imagine what a future world could be, or even a historian making some guesses determined to their own history. However, there is a small number of individuals that believe that the Records are in fact a prophetic text. Many stories circulate around the Prophetess and their Records, almost becoming a loosely organized cult as members come together and discuss the Records, attempting to make sense of them.   Those that have studied the Records claim to be in possession of what they describe as the Prophetess' Last Prophesy, a doom for Aaon and the universe that it resides within, what the University calls the Tenth Realm. The Prophetess apparently saw the end of the Tenth Realm and describes five cataclysms that would strike the world of Aaon, finishing with the return of ADarkus and a second Celestial War.   This prophecy is not easily read as it is fractured throughout the Records, a line here and a line there. But it is distinct enough to obtain a few verses, unfortunately, most of the text has been lost. Two of the verses are portrayed just below:
In the Lands of the shattered and the ordered,
In a time unprotected by the holy Valar
One blessed by a god whom has died shall be born.
In their time the first sign of the end will be.
The fallen will rise, the peaceful become violent,
And the blessed one will try to stop it.
But they will fail.
Another will take place in the Lands frozen.
The Hidden shall reappear, another scourge upon the earth.
They will be contained until the seas turn cold and freeze.
The last defenders of Aaon shall return to battle the Hidden.
In this battle Aaon will come to it's End.

Examining the connections between our society and this supposed prophesy, there are a number of areas that could relate to certain aspects of our time. The first paragraph references the current state of Arthuris, as the term "shattered" could refer to the shattered kingdoms to the north of Arthuris and the "ordered could refer to Bolavidorr, the Empire as well as the Ashlands. "The one blessed by a god that has died" is an interesting statement as there has been multiple deaths of Celestials, but only one has come back. Those blessed by Mathis, or the Elementalists are already an extremely rare condition with only a few are known to the University.   We do not know what it refers to when it states, "the peaceful become violent", maybe a war within a country/nation previously thought benign?

  • I must be clear; The University does not hold any faith in the Prophetess Records. They are series of baseless assumptions and the only time that the Records are corrrect are through coincidence or are connected through a vague and undefined fashion. The University, as always, would like to remind the reader that Prophosy is an unpredictable form of magic and can lead to personal harm and even death.
